If you want to hook up a room loop, in addition to a loop amplifier (e.g. Contacta HLD3, Univox CLS-1), you need to order insulated wire for the room loop. The ideal wire is 22 gauge stranded copper wire.

The maximum perimeter you can loop with the HLD3 loop amplifier is more or less 100 feet (depending on the room shape and on the construction materials used). You can use either a single-wire loop or a double-wire loop. Normally the single-wire loop provides a good signal and is all you need.
