Transient Tonal Tinnitus

Otherwise knows as Sudden Brief Unilateral Tapering Tinnitus (SBUTT) or just Transient Ear Noise, TTT is typically a daytime phenomenon where you suddenly hear a tone or piercing whistle in just one ear that quickly becomes extremely loud. It arises out of the bule, reaches a crescendo in around a second or so and then often quickly fades away in another 2 to 10 seconds, but could last for up to a minute. This is your brain’s way or recalibrating your auditory system.
