A hearing test which uses an EEG (electroencephalograph) and computer analysis to directly record the brain’s response to sound. Useful in helping to determine a child’s hearing level when the child is too young to cooperate with the audiologist. (See also Auditory Brainstem Response Testing.)
Expressive Language
Speaking (talking). This usually includes vocabulary and sentences.
External Auditory Canal
The ear canal—that portion of the external ear between the pinna and the eardrum.
External Ear
The outer portion of the ear that is normally visible. Components of the external or outer ear include the pinna and the external ear canal.

Eyeglass Hearing Aid
A style of hearing aid, popular in the 1950s through the 1970s, in which the hearing aid was built into the eyeglass frame. They were similar in many ways to BTE hearing aids and used similar earmolds.
