Plugs into any audio device’s standard 1/8″ earphone jack. Hear clear sound via the t-coils on your hearing aids. Neckloops let you hear in both ears if you wear two hearing aids.
There are two version of this neckloop–one for audio devices with stereo jacks and one for devices with mono jacks.
For devices with a Stereo jack: If your audio device is wired for stereo (has a stereo earphone jack such as the Pocketalker 2.0), then order this neckloop with a stereo plug. Nowadays, almost all audio devices are wired for stereo plugs. You can plug this neckloop into any mono or stereo jack. Order the Neckloop with the Stereo plug here (NKL001-S) for $42.85.
For devices with a Mono jack: If your audio device is wired for mono–few are apart from the PockeTalker Pro or PockeTalker Ultra)—order this neckloop with a mono plug. Just plug this neckloop into the jack. Order the Neckloop with the Mono plug here (NKL001) for $42.85
Note 1: All neckloops by definition are mono devices so if you plug them into stereo devices you’ll hear both stereo channels in each ear—not true stereo.
Note 2: If you have the mono neckloop and you have a stereo device, you don’t need to purchase the neckloop with the stereo plug. Instead, you can save yourself some money by getting a stereo to mono (male mono to female stereo) adapter such as Radio Shack’s stereo to mono adapter #274-0374 ($2.99). It essentially converts your mono neckloop into one with a stereo jack. Otherwise, if you plug a mono plug into a stereo device you’ll only hear the left stereo channel (not to mention shorting the right stereo channel to ground—which may damage your device).
