If you want to use the Contacta HLD3 loop system to listen to people live, you will need a microphone to input the sound into the loop system. Almost any microphone with a 1/8″ (3.5 mm) plug will work. My preference is a lapel microphone that clips to your clothes just below your chin. This will give beautiful clear sound and is hands-free, but you are tethered to the loop amplifier by the length of the microphone cord.
(Note: Microphones with either stereo and mono plugs will work.) This lapel microphone works well with the Contacta HLD3 loop amplifier. It has a 38″ cord.
